OpenStudy (amistre64):

do you know what a variable represents?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a #

OpenStudy (amistre64):

a number yes, but is that number fixed, or does it change and vary depending on circumstances?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

vary depending on the circumstances

OpenStudy (amistre64):

now, which charge do you think varies depeding on the circumstances in this problem? 30 or .25 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

30

OpenStudy (amistre64):

well no. 30 is what they charge you regardless of how much you use the card. 30 is fixed. it costs us .25 everytime we use the card tho, so the cost related to this varies depending on how many times we use it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so is it c?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

no, x is the number of times we use it, and we are not charged 30 every time we use it the cost is 30, plus some varied amount of .25.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

30 + .25x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so A?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

A fits yes :)

Thank you(: @amistre64
