@LunarWolfShadow is correct. Bikini Atoll was used for nuclear testing. Some theorize this was where the idea for Spongebob came from because his town's name is "Bikini Bottom." I am not kidding about the Spongebob thing. But I won't go into detail because I don't feel like it.
