The percent of heads facing up will be exactly 50%. C. The percent of heads facing up will approach 48%. D. The percent of heads facing up will approach 50%.

I multiplied \[0.48 \times 1,000\] and got 480. I think I did sumthing wrong. Could u help me?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

the theory is that the more trials you do, the closer to the real probability youll get

OpenStudy (amistre64):

youve theoretically have only 50% chance of either side, so the actual empricial tests whould get closer to that value the more times they are tried .... this is known as the law of large numbers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I can eliminate A and B. So, is it D?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

D is the best choice yes. as the number of times you perform the even increases, the probability of the outcome should approach the theoretical value.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

*perform the event

Ok, thank u! :)

OpenStudy (amistre64):

youre welcome
