OpenStudy (randomecorner):

i am relly confused

OpenStudy (k_lynn):

The mean is when you find the average of a set of data. So that means you're going to add all of those numbers together and then divide by how many numbers there were.

OpenStudy (randomecorner):

ok

OpenStudy (k_lynn):

So whats \[9+(-6)+(-8)+11+(-4)+10\]

OpenStudy (randomecorner):

ok igots 12

OpenStudy (k_lynn):

Right. Now since there were 6 numbers all together, you divide 12 by 6. What do you get? \[12\div6\]

OpenStudy (randomecorner):

it is 2

OpenStudy (randomecorner):

oh wow thank you ALOT!!!!!!!

OpenStudy (k_lynn):

Yep, you got it. That's the mean :)

OpenStudy (k_lynn):

Sure, no problem.
