OpenStudy (sphott51):

Solve log(x+9) - log x = 3

Nnesha (nnesha):

apply quotient property \[\huge\rm log_b x \color{red}{-} \log_b y = \log_b \frac{ x }{ y }\] if there is negative sign you can change that to division subtraction ---->division addition .-----> multiplication

OpenStudy (sphott51):

so basically.. log(x+9) / x)) = 3

Nnesha (nnesha):

yep that's right :-)do you know next step ??

OpenStudy (sphott51):

I don't remember :/

Nnesha (nnesha):

okay you have to solve for x so change log form to exponential form for example \[\huge\rm log_b x = y \]\ \[\huge\rm b^y =x\] |dw:1427769790340:dw|
