how is a simulation diferent from a learning game?
A learning game teaches the material in a more interesting way than say, a worksheet or lecture. A simulation is like a miniature or simplified version of real life. Example: You're learning about government. -Learning Game: your assignment is to create a hand-clapping game and rhyme about local government systems with a partner, then videotape it and send it to your teacher. -Simulation: In class, you set up a small (imaginary) community with governmental elections, a police force, a city bank, traffic laws, lot prices and businesses so that you can better understand how a small local government system works. Source: We did a simulation like this in 4th grade and the younger kids at my new school did something similar to the game (but about anatomic systems, not government systems. :D )
