You have heard the word “probability” before. What does the word mean to you? Sometimes the outcome of an event is not a certainty and probability is used to describe the chances different outcomes happening. What are some situations that do not have definite outcomes? Can you describe a situation when knowing the probability of different outcomes may be useful to you personally? Why would this useful? If you wanted to know the chances of a specific outcome happening in a given situation, could you find it using experimentation? Give a situation and how you would perform the experiment.
