Okay so you're looking for the change from one point to the other?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Yeah
OpenStudy (ashes.boom):
Do you know which of the two numbers in the first point is the y axis and which is the x axis?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Yes

Okay starting with the first number you want to get from 4 to -4, how do you do that?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Do you subtract?
OpenStudy (ashes.boom):
yes you want to subtract 8
OpenStudy (ashes.boom):
the first number represents the x axis so do you move up and down or left and right?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
left and right

so it would be right for 8
OpenStudy (ashes.boom):
Right would be adding and you want to subtract
OpenStudy (ashes.boom):
so you would move 8 to the left... does that make sense?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Yeah
OpenStudy (anonymous):
what about the other numbers

OpenStudy (ashes.boom):
okay now for the second number you have to get from -4 to 7 but its on the y axis so you move up and down
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Okay
OpenStudy (ashes.boom):
so do you add or subtract to get from -4 to 7?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
add?
OpenStudy (ashes.boom):
yep

I got 3
OpenStudy (ashes.boom):
you mean add three?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
yeah
OpenStudy (ashes.boom):
if you add three to -4 you get -1 so you have to add more to get to 7
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Okay so I would add 11

if you add 4 you would get to 0 and then you add 7 so yes 4 + 7 = 11 :)
OpenStudy (ashes.boom):
so its adding 11 so you move up 11 on the y axis
OpenStudy (anonymous):
OKay so the answer would be D
OpenStudy (ashes.boom):
Yep! :) I have to go to class now so i hope that helped
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Thanks!
