The table shows data from a survey about the amount of time, in hours, high school students spent reading and the amount of time spent watching videos each week (without reading): Reading Video 3 1 3 2 4 3 5 4 6 6 7 7 10 8 12 8 14 9 30 15 Which response best describes outliers in these data sets?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which data is furthest from the rest. aka doesn't seem like it fits the rest of the data Example 4, 3, 2 , 1 , 6 , 4 , 36 , 2 the outlier is 36 because its is not close to the other data

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay so what about my problem??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which data points are outliers?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

30 and 15?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is this a multiple choice question. I don't see any options? and yes 30 and 15 is an outlier

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes hold on let me get the answeres

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which response best describes outliers in these data sets? Reading has a suspected outlier in the 30-hour value. Reading has a suspected outlier in the 30-hour value, and video has a possible outlier in the 15-hour value. Neither data set has suspected outliers. The range of data is too small to identify outliers.
