i dont know sry?

rishavraj (rishavraj):

@jessmitz see the series in an A.P ......wht say??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

huh?

rishavraj (rishavraj):

its like 2 , 4 , 6 ,.............. A.P - Arithmetic Progression

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i see that, is there any easier way to do it?

rishavraj (rishavraj):

honestly no idea.....i think this is kinda easy .......

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well like faster?

geerky42 (geerky42):

You start with 2 cents, and will end at 2*365 cents. So you have \(2+4+6+\cdots+730\) You can factor 2 out and you will have \(2(1+2+3+\cdots+365)\). You can use formula \(1+2+3+\cdots+n=\dfrac{n(n+1)}{2}\)

geerky42 (geerky42):

So it all went down to \(365\times366\)

geerky42 (geerky42):

then divide it by 100 to change unit from cents to dollars.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so what would the total answer be? just to double check my answer

geerky42 (geerky42):

What did you get?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1335.9?

rishavraj (rishavraj):

yup......tht is...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

cool! thanks guys!
