WILL MEDAL. REALLY NEED HELP ASAP.
Please see question attached. Really appreciate all the help.
Note the solutions are in y = mx+b form, where m is the slope, and b is the y - intercept (where line crosses the y - axis). Looking at your solution we can see the y - intercept is 20.
well we can see that as x increases y increases this indicates a positive slope
How do you get 20/3 ? I can't figure it out....
I know the slope is positive, hence the positive correlation. But I don't know how you got the slope? and also where did -20 come from?
-20* that's where the line crosses the y - axis, you can take two points and either use the slope formula or just eye it, \[ m = \frac{ y_{2}-y _{1} }{ x _{2}-x _{1} }\] Remember (rise/run)? But we can see that the slope is positive, as x and y are both increasing.
Thankssss <3 Also, where did u get 20/3?
so would "D" be the correct answer?
Well the slope, I didn't really calculate it or anything, I could see the x was increasing as was the y, so I knew it had to positive, if you understand the problem, you don't really need to know the numbers. The point of this question is if you can read the equation of a line from a graph :)
But did I guess it right? D makes the most sense to me.
Yes that's right
Thank you <3 <3
