Identify the variation as direct, inverse, joint or combined. s/t=c

OpenStudy (lexi724):

A. A direct variation is of the form y = kx, where if x doubles, y doubles too. It can also be y/x = k. B. An inverse variation is of the form y = k/x or xy = k. In this form when x doubles, y is cut in half. C. A joint variation is when y varies directly with both x and z, such as y = kxz. D. A combined variation has both direct and inverse variation, where some variables are in the numerator and others are in the denominator. This would be like y = kx/z.

OpenStudy (igreen):

Inverse: \(y = \dfrac{k}{x}\) Direct: \(y = kx\) Which do you think?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Inverse.
