plz help.explin the processes that take place in the stroma including the reactants going in and the products produced from these processes in (A) bright light and in (B) darkness. ((C) what happenes over an extended period of darkness of many days?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Aluva2z Think of stoma as the little mouths of plants. The can open and close to facilitate gas exchange, included carbon dioxide, oxygen, and/or water vapor.

OOOOOOOHHHHHHHH!!!!!......that makes SO much more sense and make it easier, thanx @mrdoldum

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@AluvA2Z Oh crap. Sorry, in my tired state I read "stoma" not "stroma". Stoma are the little "mouths" on plants. STROMA, is the fluid inside a chloroplast (organelle that deals with the light portions of photosynthesis) in a plant cell. The structures in the chloroplast, that are surrounded by the liquid (stroma) deal directly with the photons of light. The output of the system that deals directly with photons (the electron transport chain), go to the stroma where the Calvin Cycle happens. The Calvin Cycle does not need light to work, only the molecules that were made by the electron transport chain.
