Someone please help! 1. For the regular square below: a. Find the area of the square base b. Find the volume of the pyramid c. Find the slant height of the pyramid d. Find the surface area of the pyramid I remember working on this with someone like a couple weeks ago, but I forgot how to do it.
for a) the area is 18(square) which is 324m^2
V = 1/3*S*h
a. find the area of a square with side 18 m. b. use the volume formula for a pyramid. \(V = \dfrac{1}{3}Bh\), where B = area of the base (from part a. above), and h = the height of the pyramid. c. the slant height is the dashed line on the right triangular face. To find it you need the Pythagorean theorem. Use as legs the height of the pyramid (20 m) and half of the base length (9 m). Find the hypotenuse. d. the surface area is made up of 2 parts, the base area and the lateral area. The base area you already have from part a. above. You can find the lateral area by finding the area of one triangular face, and multiplying it by 4. Each triangular face is a triangle that has as base 18 m and as height the slant height of the pyramid. Then add the lateral area to the base area.
