Is "starving yourself" a good way to loose weight? My health teacher wants me to write an essay on it from my own expirience. The thing is, for me it helped. I'm not sure if thats bad or what because I know that if you don't eat dinner it slows down your metabolism down by a lot. :/
Normally "starving yourself" is a very bad idea... When you stop eating, your body goes into fat storing mode so by not eating, you're actually gaining weight. The best thing to do is to eat 3 meals a day but watch what you eat...Or you can eat around 5 small meals a day which are more like snacks... The key is eating healthy! Hope this helped :)
Do NOT starve yourself. You will just be even more hungry and want to eat more. ^^^ They know what they are saying :)

So i would take a different angle. from experience, starving yourself is a good way to lose weight. it is very effective, but only to a point. The only thing is, the body goes into starvation mode, and it is almost impossible to maintain a low body weight without continuing to starve yourself. once you begin to eat again you will regain the weight
That's kind of where I disagree, I think that starving yourself doesn't help in any way... But that's opinion and what I've learned... @jessmitz
