If you do mean that, then it is because they are two different things. SmartCents is a currency that you earn from medals and allows you to buy titles for different subjects. On the other hand, OwlBucks is the currency you use to ask a Qualified Helper to come and help you with your question. :)

I like this idea, but the purpose of OwlBucks is for the site to get extra income, and by trading SC for OB, the site doesn't gain anything (and the QH's don't get their fund too).
