i give medals Explain how the ecosystem that you selected follows the law of conservation of mass and the law of conservation of energy. It is said that only about 10% of stored energy is transferred between trophic levels of the ecosystem. Be specific in using your ecosystem in your example. Candypop13: Lakes

This probably has something to do with the flow of energy from plants to herbivores to various carnivores. If a carnivore can only get 10% of the herbivore's energy from eating it, it'll need to eat lots of herbivores, right? So you'd expect to see way more plants than herbivores, way more herbivores than carnivores, etc.
this is the only question @SWAGSTER23780
Here if we take the law of conservation of energy then it is well known that only 10% energy is transferred to the next traffic level and rest of energy is utilized by the organism itself. It is based on the first law of thermodynamics. And due to this whole energy of the universe is constant. And also the flow of energy in an ecosystem is unidirectional and can be used only once......
And if we consider both of the laws then you should know the fact that with rise in each tropic level there is a decrease in the amount of food consumed by consumers.....
but remeber it has to be about lakes
