OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

Area of a circle = \(\large \bf 2\pi r\qquad r=radius=\frac{diameter}{2}\)

OpenStudy (ashsmashum1290):

okay so what do i do first?:/

Mehek (mehek14):

divide the diameter by. 2

OpenStudy (ashsmashum1290):

28/2=14

Mehek (mehek14):

2*14?

OpenStudy (ashsmashum1290):

28?

Mehek (mehek14):

28*3.14

OpenStudy (ashsmashum1290):

84

Mehek (mehek14):

no try again 28 * 3.14

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

well.. what's the daimeter?

OpenStudy (ashsmashum1290):

87.92

Mehek (mehek14):

so now round 87.9

OpenStudy (ashsmashum1290):

um i don't know how to :(

Mehek (mehek14):

look at the number before the decimal place if it is 5+ you will round the ones place one number up if the number is 4- it stays the same

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

87.9 is correct rounding up means if the decimal number is "below" 5, it rounds up to 87 flat if the decimal number is "above" 5, it rounds up to 88 flat

OpenStudy (ashsmashum1290):

it becomes 87.10

OpenStudy (ashsmashum1290):

okay so 88

Mehek (mehek14):

yea

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

yeap

OpenStudy (ashsmashum1290):

thanks @Mehek14 and @jdoe0001

Mehek (mehek14):
