Structuarally in history, the skyscraper was a breakthrough. it was built to go high, which wasn't seen before. Sure, there were tall buildings. but seriously, who woulda thunk of a building that brings us to the clouds? But anyway, we notice that the architecture is different in a tller building than a shorter building. the beams have to be made different. They have to build the building to where it can withstand high winds and extreme weather.
