As has been said above, no matter if they gave you the explanation process with the answer, it is still considered as a Direct Answer. If they gave you a straight up answer, then it is definitely a Direct Answer. If you have no participation in the question and they gave you an explanation with an answer, it is definitely a straight up Direct Answer! Hope this clears up some of the confusion.
