"I really think God does not exist" OLD I have drawn a wonderful conclusion through this convo Thanks a lot everyone
3 possible things might have happened to him/her : 1) He/She is too weak to combat the evil forces and is hence powerless against the growing imbalance in the world 2) He/She prefers bad people or people that are rich and can donate more to him. In short, God = evil 3) He/She does not exist
Please don't bring in specific religious comments. I'm also not wanting to offend someone
I might be wrong ( I personally think I am definitely wrong )
o.O Well my opinion to you for this is everyone has their own beliefs what you beleive others may not so if you feel like u dont beleive in god but u used to then god is always with u :*
he is not That is the thing to worry. I'm one of the good people ( if compared to my peers ). Still, the bad people always enjoy and are favored. They are more popular, more trendy, more "cool"
that's not right
Well just know god will always be there this is a temporary reaction

What is your evidence or rationality that there is no God?
haha what evidence do you have that god does exist ? :)
I have plenty
@MaimiGirl Why does God have to be nonexistent, evil, or not all-powerful?
@maimiGirl "what evidence do you have that god does exist ? :)" - The Quran.
@alphadxg , haha, i didn't know that the Quran had a simley face in it.
nope she copied maimi sentences with simely face
smiley*
My reply question is "why do you believe in anything?" is it because you consider yourself a rational human being and believe what you've been taught and experienced. There's rational human being out there who experienced certain things and decide to kill and plunder for there survival, try to convince them what you believe let alone a God that you don't. In our world today there are many different ways of life and death as it always has been then question to ask is what you believe going to change that or at least some hope of change. I don't pretend to truly understand my Lords but what I do understand is what they taught me.
@TheRaggedyDoctor because nothing is in his control. Everything is going toward worse and nothing is improving. for example, global warming and all. Also, why are so many ppl abused and murdered everyday ????? Because God is not powerful enough to set things right
@alphadxg Quran is not written by god. It is written by ppl. It could be a story. It could be fake just like the fairytales we read
@KenLJW What if everything u were taught is wrong??? Some one has to question the rules to make new ones !!

In this revelation all of the Quran was sent down at one time to a station in the lowest heaven referred to as "Bayt al-'Izzah" (The House of Honor or Power). The blessed night on which this descent took place is called "Laylatul-Qadr" (The Night of Decree), one of the odd-numbered nights in the last ten days of the month of Ramadan. Allah referred to this initial revelation as follows: "Haa Meem. By the Clear Book, verily, I revealed it in a blessed night." [Noble Quran 44:1-3] "Verily, I revealed it on the Night of Decree." [Noble Quran 97:1] "The month of Ramadan in which I revealed the Quran as guidance to mankind ..." [Noble Quran 2:185] http://www.allahsquran.com/quran_divine_book.php it's not written by people not even one word
nni Who writes ur school's science books ? Not Einstein, not scientists, and definitely not even some person who has been mentioned in the book. Same is with religious books. Just because God is mentioned or his point of view is said, it does not mean that God himself wrote the book. It is like me writing a book saying Einstein himself wrote it
In fact, why only Quran ????? The same with Bible.
@MaimiGirl I feel like most Atheists could even answer this for you, tbh. I'd suggest you do a bit of research on God, because even taking a few minutes to look up such a question would probably clear things up completely. You seem to be aiming this post towards the God of the Bible, so I'll try to explain a bit before I have to leave, lol. I'm assuming you've heard the creation story, and the fall of man. The idea isn't that they brought sin into the world, but that along with sin came all things evil. That includes things you mentioned. Global warming, abuse, murder. It's not that God isn't powerful enough to stop evil, it's that WE are evil. Our world is now evil, because of us. To stop evil would mean to get rid of us, too, and that's not what God wants to do. Soooo, that's about it. lol
When I was a child I didn't question if 1 + 1 = 2 or 1/2 = .5, I didn't question that chair met more than dinning room chair or living room chair, I didn't question why my father wanted me to ask permission to leave the dinner table, for that matter the language I used. Christ said come as little children which is exactly how on should approach scriptures. You say what if everything were taught is wrong, possibly it was I don't know what your were taught, I wasn't taught much I the religious sense, but I can tell you the school of hard knocks is one I would have chosen. If you question what you've been taught then at least check the source of those who taught you and make your own decision. I have a different view of God then most, it is one of coming to be, in an individuals life or time itself.
These are my beliefs . I'm not trying to offend anyone . I simply want to let people know my thoughts on this topic . 1 God gives free will meaning it is our choice to do evil or good . He is allowing us to choose . 2 Why would God want materialistic things ? I believe there has to be good to be wrong , so something must exist , right ?

There must be a set criteria to determine if something is from god or not right?
@TheRaggedyDoctor I appreciate u responding to my question and so far u are the first one to convince me to believe that if god exists, he/she is not weak. My post is not toward to any religion. It is about the ultimate power whom we perceive as different gods. @KenLJW I appreciate u sharing ur thoughts with us. I appreciate it that ppl like me are also posting on here.
@iSmuggleHuggles Thanks for sharing. Appreciated
@alphadxg seems like you did not get what i was saying. We need more talking what i was saying was that the scriptures might be wrong or right. and yes we have to testt them, that is why i have asked the question.
Although I can prove many things for my belief (which is in the Bible), I cannot at the moment prove that there is a God; but what I do know is that if you truly seek God, he will show himself to you someway. At least that is how I got to know that there is a God. I searched a long time to "hear" God. What I found was that although God sometimes may be subtle, God is always present. Honestly, I believe the only way to know if there is a God, is to genuinely seek God though much patience and open eyes. Hope that helps :)
\(\color{blue}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @autogenius God, he will show himself to you someway \(\color{blue}{\text{End of Quote}}\) This is a subjective claim and a opinionated one.

I acknowledge that my claim is subjective. However, I am stating what my experience was regarding finding out that there is a God. Also, I cannot believe that the universe was made from nothing. I believe that there has to be a Creator who created the universe and put all things in existence. Again, this is a opinionated claim; but I am just here to share my experiences. Thank you for the opportunity for a rebuttal, @alphadxg.
@autogenius Sorry, I just want this discussion to be primarily on tangible evidence if we may :)
I understand, @alphadxg, that many people want tangible evidence for the existence of God; but I cannot give it. I truly believe that the creation (nature and the universe) shows that there has to be a Creator. That is really my only tangible proof of a God that I can think of. But again, I believe that finding out if there is a God is dependent on patience and open eyes. At least that is how I got to know that there is a God.
@autogenius I should clarify, not tangible evidence for a God, but we need to place our conclusions based on evidence (this is what I was referring to, as tangible evidence). So the bible, Quran, scriptures etc, instead of "experiences" and subjective reasoning, those which we can not examine and deal with.
@autogenius u had the most positive post so far and i respect ur opinion
I am kind of inclining toward to u guys :) But I still fail to understand as of why we have believed that god exists and not demons ? Meaning : how have we never questioned his existence ??
@alphadxg my ques is the one above
that how come we all have blindly followed what we have been thought and not question it but just because " God " is "right"
@MaimiGirl Is Islam, we do believe in "Demons", we refer to them as Jinn, they are another creation that God created, they are like humans and angels (Race wise), there is good and bad among them also.
same in my religion there are demon : rakshas that have been fighting gods for ages
and there we go, just because our religious book says demons exist, we have continued to believe that they exist. That is I guess the consequences of blind faith. And i understand why ppl are taught to believe in a good power. It is what tells us to be a good human being. All our religions teach us our duties, life principles.

@MaimiGirl Have you read the Quran?
I therefore conclude ; that although there are ppl like me who like to question everything, there should not be too many of me. Some things that are believed in make us strong and help the society be a better place. I feel that as long as even 1% of the ppl are happy and better because they believe in god, God is worth it :) I surely did learn something and I feel that my connection with god and my understanding of God has reached a new level Thanks to you all for a lovely conversation @Nnesha @kidrah69 @alphadxg @TheRaggedyDoctor @KenLJW @autogenius
I have not alpha
@MaimiGirl Then how do you have a predisposition to think these are fairy tales and such. A rational, reasonable person would read and study all of the religions, and then come to a conclusion. Agreed?
Agreed :) I am not right or wrong and you are not wrong or right. It is just that we have different opinions and now I know why. I am even more curious to read the scriptures, I will find the time to read them if possible to just..............................learn
Thank you @alphadxg and @MaimiGirl for your comments and the opportunities to reply. I too pondered on questions like these and I just want to tell you my experiences. Just to let you know, I became a Christian (non-denominational) and if you have any questions concerning Christianity, religion, or really anything; feel free to message me. Again thank you all so much and I hope I was a help! :)

ahh net connection is very slow and post button is hiding ;-;

nice discussion i love it !! thanks maimi
cheers for us ! thanks you all
If I quote Plato, Aristotle or any or ancient Greek, or any 17th, 18th philosopher no one complains about the source but some may consider it's truthfulness. But if I quote from the Bible there's so many complaints and they don't bother to consider the truthfulness of it. This is why 12 step programs replace sin with character defect and psychology really don't like the idea possession because they really can't deal with that realm. Some take the Hindu position of reincarnation rather than the possibility that a spirit may be occupying another's body, ether partially or fully. If our society really accepted these ideas convictions would be much more complex, and whether some, or any, really have free will. Corruption occurs at a very young age and one may not remember it but it has a life long effect until some sort of intervention, divine or otherwise.
Hmm.. I see familiar faces here. @Nnesha And @MaimiGirl
similar faces as in ?
You forgot me already ? Oh well.
Anyway, You said you think God doesnt exist, right ? You still think so ?
