how to solve attached

OpenStudy (nickymail48):

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

\(\sf \LARGE\sqrt[b]{a^c} = a^\frac{c}{b}\)

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

And we can break your question into: \(\sf\Large\sqrt[6]{x^{17}} \times \sqrt[6]{y^{24}} \times \sqrt[6]{z^{31}}\)

OpenStudy (nickymail48):

so how would i write answer? 6 wont go into x^17

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

But you can simplify that into: \(\sf\Large\sqrt[6]{x^{17}} = x^{\frac{17}{6}} = x^{2 \frac{5}{6}} = x^2 \times x^{\frac{5}{6}}= x^2\sqrt[6]{x^5}\)

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

And then do that for the other 2 variables :)

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

And tell me what you get, and show your work so I can see where you are getting it wrong, or it you have gotten how to do it :)

OpenStudy (nickymail48):

so 6/x^31=x^31/6? 6/y^24=4?

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

That equals to \(\sf y^4\) not plain 4.

OpenStudy (nickymail48):

ok
