Would someone mind helping me with some algebra 2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes. This is why we are here. You can simply post the question without asking ^_^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hehe, ok so solve the compound inequality, 4x+15_>-9 and 8x-6_<34

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the _ belongs under the < and > sign.. im pretty sure the and means =

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the and does not mean = it will give you an answer like this example: The values on a dice are >0 and <7. (also read as 0 < x < 7) or I will pick a random number but it will not be within 20 and 30 (read as: x < 20 and x > 30) [the form your answer will have] you must solve 4x + 15 > -9 and 8x - 6 < 34 separately by isolating x on either side of the inequality. do you know how to isolate the x in both?

OpenStudy (coconutjj):

Treat the inequality sign as a equal sign first. Except when you multiply or divide by negative 1, flip the sign

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah i think i have an answer let me try it quick

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x_>-6 and x<5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes, that is the right answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well the sign before the 5 is _< so thats right ??
