https://app37.studyisland.com/pics/160006question13.png Given the two squares above, determine how triangles STV and YZX can be shown to be similar. Since VST XYZ and VS = ST, the triangles are similar by angle-side. Since VST XYZ and STV YZX, the triangles are similar by angle-angle. Since VST YZX and STV XYZ, the triangles are similar by angle-angle. Since STV YZX and VS = ZY, the triangles are similar by angle-side.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

since VST XYZ and STV YZX, the triangles are similar by angle-angle.

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

I don't understand the first reason. What is angle-side? There is angle-side-angle, and side-angle-side, but I've never heard of just angle-side.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The answer is the second answer choice

OpenStudy (smart8thgrader):

thanks

OpenStudy (ashsmashum1290):

yeah i think its B to

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

Choices 1 and 4 are wrong because those reasons don;t exist. The only reasons that make sense are angle-angle of choices 2 and 3.

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

Choice 3 has the wrong vertices as corresponding. Choice 2 is correct.
