This is the point, $\sf(-4, 7)$ if we want to move it up by 8 units, that would be:

$\sf(-4, 7+8)$

If we wanted to move it down by 8 units, that would be:

$\sf(-4, 7-8)$

If we wanted to move it to the left by 8 units that would be:

$\sf(-4-8, 7)$

And if we wanted to move this point to the right by 8 units,

$\sf(-4+8, 7)$
