Please answer: Can we delete the message we sent?
@Preetha please answer
No you can't. Once you have sent someone a message, you can’t undo that process. If they choice to, they can delete the messages(s) received from you and you can do the same if you receive a message from them. OpenStudy is not some email program company, like: Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc – where you can delete your sent messages, unfortunately OS doesn't quite work like that.
@Miracrown thank you for the reply but i would appreciate if at all we have a feature like this :)
Well i dont think they need to work on something like this :P if you think about what you are sending before you send it then it shouldn't be a problem
It doesn't make a difference. You are only deleting it from your end. But your message is still archived. So you should be careful of what you send, because it is not undoable.
@rvc i would think twice before sending a message. Its like when you're texting , when you send it its gone you cannot get it back D:
Same as words. Once you say them, there's no going back. Once someone hears it, it's history in memory.
i too believe a feature should be added in, it does not matter that it isn't a email program company, i still believe we have a right to remove our messages as we deem fit.
yes. @GooooooDAWGS!! u r right
noo i dont agree
I don't think you can remove send messages in Gmail, Hotmail or Yahoo either. Just on your screen, but that doesn't remove them from the recipient's inbox.
your right @thomaster
So do the Mods and Ambi's see what we send? Plus we can't even delete messages on our end ....OS is glitching for me .
Moderators can only see it if it is reported. And ambassadors have no powers. Only connections ;)
Who can see our sent messages?
Only the person you sent it to, but moderators will be able to see it ONLY IF the other person reports it.
okay thank you so much :)
np
then sure u had a problem :P
Oh Cool . That makes sense. Thanks TSO!
