Increasing the temperature of a liquid-solid solution will: a. always increase the rate at which a crystalline sollute dissoves. b. often increase the amount of crystalline solute that dissolves. c. both a and b d. neither a or b
Welcome to Open Study!!! When you heat a bowl of water. The temperature starts to increase until it is really hot. You can even do this as a lab experiment at home. Bring sugar or salt and try to dissolve it in cold water. You can see that less sugar is dissolved however when you dissolve sugar in hot water; you can dissolve much more amount of that substance. Therefore the rate of dissolving a solute and the amount of that substance being dissolved increases. If you had any question feel free to ask.
