Which statement does NOT accurately describe the Korean War? a. when Hungarians tried to gain independence, the Soviet Union sent in tanks to crush the revolt. or b. When Stalin blockaded access to the city of Berlin, the western allies refused to intervene.

Medal for answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Are these about the korean war, the look like they are about the cold war? But I would say that b is false because the western allies did end up intervening in the cold war after stalin block the city of berlin.

*blocked

OpenStudy (anonymous):

*they

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oops. it is about the cold war, I accidentally read the wrong question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh it's okay! So then b would not be a true statement about the cold war

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you. Would you mind helping me out with the next question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No I wouldn't.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which is NOT an example of the power of boycotts in movements for change a. boycotts bring issues to the courts where they can be resolves b.boycotts can force companies to change or risk going out of business c. boycotts show strength in numbers d. boycotts are nonviolent and legal

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I would go with a. Because c and d are definitely true, looking at b,that could also be true, if a lot of people are boycotting a company than that could hurt their sales, so in a way that forces the company to act or if they don't they rick going out of business. Boycotts can hurt business for companies, they are more about giving the people power to change things not really the court.
