You could re-post the question if you'd like, or you could try to tag others that may be able to explain it.
It is easier for others to find it if your question remains open, though, so don't close your question until you are happy with the responses/explanations. ^.^

How about if a mod closed your post for a purpose? How about if you have an open question and decided to re-open a closed post? It's really iffy.

War. The war between the citizen and the Mod/Moddess. The Mod/Moddess believes a citizens post is a disgrace to humanity, so Mod/Moddess takes care of it. Closes it. *silence* The citizen rages, shouting at everyone about the Mod/Moddess false action, so citizen re-opens it. Dunna dunna. What a rebel. The Mod/Moddess gets vexed, so they yell, 'OFF WITH THE POST!' and delete it. The end. Choas

My simplified version of Sammi's post:

The Mod sees the post as violating the CoC and closes it. The user that posted it sees it as a false action, so he/she re-opens it. The Mod then deletes it and the user may retaliate.

Guys, that doesn't seem to be what the user was asking...

But, I agree with you.

Prosper2win, what they're saying is that the reason why we cannot re-open questions is due to users who would use that as an opportunity to go against the terms of the site, and against the moderators who are trying to keep the site as it is intended to be.

Normally if I'm not satisfied with the answer I get, I will PM someone asking if they could help me, or just ask the question again :)

Also, it's happened several times where I accidentally click "close" instead of "bump", so...yeah I would ask the question again.

I've seen another post about this, and from that post it would take a lot just to re-open a question, way easier and faster to just repost it
