Help me find x!!!

OpenStudy (misty1212):

HI!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hi, can you help?

OpenStudy (misty1212):

yes probably

Nnesha (nnesha):

i found it !! http://prntscr.com/6q467a sitting with y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This is dealing with angles so I know both equal 180 so x^2+3x=180 but then what do I do?

Nnesha (nnesha):

do you know how to attach file ??

Nnesha (nnesha):

you can set that equation equal to 0 and then apply quadratic formula :-)

OpenStudy (misty1212):

solve \[x^2+3x-180=0\] if you are lucky it factors

OpenStudy (anonymous):

answer would be x1= 12, x2= -15 right ?? :D

OpenStudy (misty1212):

yeah ignore the negative answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks so much!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Could you help with this one also?? I'm confused on the set up..

OpenStudy (bibby):

you can probably use vertical angles or the fact that all of those angles add up to 360

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So you're saying 30+ 5y+2x+(x-y)=360 or what exactly?

OpenStudy (bibby):

never mind, I didn't even read the labeling correctly at first, sorry
