Completely Factor the polynomial: (x+3)^3(x-9)^4-(x+3)^4(x-9)^3 I can see that I'll want to factor out (x+3)^3 and (x-9)^3 but I'm having trouble actually doing that and going on from there.

OpenStudy (misty1212):

HI!!

OpenStudy (misty1212):

what is is left when you "factor it out"?

OpenStudy (misty1212):

\[(x+3)^3(x-9)^3(\text{what is left that you need})\]

OpenStudy (misty1212):

you need one factor of \(x+3\) and one factor of \(x-9\) to make it complete

OpenStudy (misty1212):

\[(x+3)^3(x-9)^3(\text{what is left that you need})\] \[(x+3)^3(x-9)^3(x+3+x-9))\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So (x+3)(x-9)?

OpenStudy (misty1212):

not times, plus

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ah, that was the issue then.

OpenStudy (misty1212):

\[AB+AC=A(B+C)\] it is plus, not times

OpenStudy (anonymous):

My program still won't accept the answer. I tried simplifying it further to \[(x+3)^3(x-9)^3(2)(x-3)\] but it still won't accept it, I think there may be issues with the program though.
