Vehicle accidents are the leading cause of death among people aged 15 to 20. The NHTSA reported that even though only 6.8% of licensed drivers are between 15 and 20 years old, they were involved in 14.3% of all fatal crashes. Insurance companies know teenage boys are at high risk but what about girls.? One insurance company found that the driver was a teenage girl in 44 of the 388 fatal accidents they investigated. Is this strong evidence that the accident rate is lower for girls that for teens in general? 1. Test an appropriate hypothesis and state your conclusion.
