Write an appropriate inverse variation equation if y = 7 when x = 2.

OpenStudy (misty1212):

ok one more time, then it should be clear what is \(2\times 7\)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

14. so the entire time ur just multiplying them all?

OpenStudy (misty1212):

lol yeah, but you have to write the equation it is \[y=\frac{k}{x}\] and you just found \(k=14\) so \[y=\frac{14}{x}\] that is all

OpenStudy (misty1212):

and you can check that if \[y=\frac{14}{x}\]then when \(x=2\) you get \(y=7\)

OpenStudy (misty1212):

easy right? wish all math was this hard...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hah thank you for helping me
