What impact did Marco Polo have on the relationship of Europe and China?

Marco polo was an explorer who traveled to many different countries in this world including china. during his trip to china he wrote a book called Livres des merveilles du monde, The Description of the World or The Travels of Marco Polo, which told of all the wonderful things he had seen in China and captured the attention of many Europeans. They became interested in china and wanted to set up trade with them
