OpenStudy (sidsiddhartha):

can someone give me some websites or pdfs from where i can learn the basics of fractional calculus, thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you mean differential calculus?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fractional_calculus

OpenStudy (sidsiddhartha):

yes in some way u can call it diffrential calculus but the order of diffrentiation is a fraction like (1/2) or (3/2) etc , not an integer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or this http://mathpages.com/home/kmath616/kmath616.htm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this also http://mathworld.wolfram.com/FractionalDerivative.html

OpenStudy (sidsiddhartha):

yeah i've checked them but those are somehow incomplete and the derivations are'nt done properly ,but thanks anyway :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im sorry your having trouble maybe someone one here can show you:)

OpenStudy (kainui):

I have read a lot about this topic on the internet, but I haven't really found any specifically good starting material for it unfortunately.

I've been told Oldham and Spanier's text is useful, but I haven't checked it out myself. It's pretty cheap, but I don't know if that reflects its quality as a self-teaching resource. http://www.amazon.com/The-Fractional-Calculus-Applications-Differentiation/dp/0486450015

OpenStudy (sidsiddhartha):

yeah i have that text but most of the things here i cannot understand all by myself and my teachers are also of no help :(
