factor (a-b)(2a+3b) + (a-b)(3a+b)

OpenStudy (pinklion23):

what is your question?

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

hint: get common factor \(\bf {\color{blue}{ (a-b) }}(2a+3b) + {\color{blue}{ (a-b) }}(3a+b)\)

OpenStudy (rizags):

factor out the (a-b) first, to get (a-b)((2a+3b)+(3a+b)). Combine terms in the parentheses to get (a-b)(2a+3b+3a+b) then (a-b)(5a+4b)

OpenStudy (rizags):

make sense?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes! thanks you rock! I have a lot more questions coming!

OpenStudy (rizags):

no prob! drop a medal and fan please!
