Function help please? I don't understand?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (rizags):

do you know what a composition of functions is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No @Rizags

OpenStudy (rizags):

ok, well that question says to find \[(g o f)(x)\] which is the same as \[g(f(x))\]

OpenStudy (rizags):

can you take it from here?

OpenStudy (rizags):

We need to find \[g(f(x))\] given that \[f(x)=7x+1\] and \[g(x)=x^2\]

OpenStudy (rizags):

what class is this for?

OpenStudy (rizags):

helooooo?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Rizags still confused, its for algebra II

OpenStudy (rizags):

ok, so i will now plug in that f(x) into the g(f(x)) to get:\[g(7x+1)\]

OpenStudy (rizags):

now, all you have to do is square it, like the rule says. Can you do that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@rizags oh ok, is my answer D then?
