I don't really understand the sonata form and these are the questions on the next exam. Can you guys help me?
1. The music of Haydn, Mozart, and Beethoven. This should be done with a strong focus on how each of these composers used and expanded form—especially sonata form.
2. Study the differences in the music of the Baroque and Classical time periods. Include all different forms of music existing in the two time periods and pay particular attention to their harmonic, dynamic, and stylistic differences.

They are wanting you to study the difference between each composer. Sounds like they are wanting you to research and memorize the different music styles.
