How did the Black Death affect Europe?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, for one, it completely wiped out most of the European population. Because of that and little food, life expectancy also dropped, as did the number of children being born. It took Europe quite awhile to regain it's population strength. It also lost the once flourishing arts, such as paintings, architecture, and classical literature from the Greeks.
