Do you know how the 's and s' work?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I THNK A

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Oh, and one tip on its it's. In that case, the ' is the dot on the invisible i. See: its = belongs to it or it posessive it's = it is

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

For a few other things, the possessive does not use a '. They are all related: its, his, hers, theirs are all possessive. it's is not, but is a valid word. hi's, her's, their's, and any similar derivatives are all incorrect.

C

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

See, theris' would be pronunced allong the lins of their s es... so... yah, it was not it. And look at C and then back at my last thing on its, his, hers, and theirs.
