Can someone explain how to solve this step-by-step?

OpenStudy (bacon):

\[6c^2+11c+3=0\]

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

well... do you know how to use FOIL?

OpenStudy (bacon):

yes

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

I use the borrow payback method. 6x^2+11x+3=0 multiply a by c. x^2+11x+18 factor that (x+9)(x+2) replace the value of A back. (6x+9)(6x+2) divide accordingly (2x+3)(3x+1) now just set the two solutions to 0 and solve.
