The Harbor City track coach recorded how long it took each member on the Harbor City track team to run 200 m. What conclusion can be drawn, based on the value of the means-to-MAD ratio? Track team Mean MAD Lakeview 25.8 0.4 Harbor City 24.2 0.5 A. The Lakeview and Harbor City track teams’ 200 m times are about the same. B. The Harbor City track team’s 200 m times are greater than the Lakeview team’s 200 m times.

i have used a lot of tags cause i have been here forever and no one has helped

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is someone actually considered "good" at math, i need it, plz

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What do you think of A?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is the mean and MAD of both times pretty similar

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i was thinking that, but i thought it might be c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i know it is not d

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I was thinking A or C as well. I haven't done MAD in a while, but mean is the average of the values, I know that, so you would think that the times with the higher mean are greater. I wasn't the greatest though when it came to mad though, sorry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is okay, at least u helped a bit, what about u @wmj259 ?

OpenStudy (wmj259):

What does MAD mean?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

dunno, forgot :P

OpenStudy (wmj259):

So its either A or B. Let me see.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It means Mean Absolute Deviation. The formula for it I believe is this|dw:1428536036147:dw|
