8. In fact, I guess the sentence below is translated just as you said, @inowalst...! But (just in case) since we don't know the context, I'd simply remind us that *su* can have more than one meaning (in capitals below):

*Margarita piensa que el señor no es médico porque SU padre ________.* -->
"Margarita thinks that the guy is a doctor because HER/HIS/THEIR father _______."


10. Oh, and about this one... I'd say "that one" is a more exact translation:

*Por qué piensa Julio que ESE no es mexicano? Julio piensa que ESE no es mexicano porque ______. -->
"Why does Julio think that THAT ONE isn't Mexican? Julio thinks that THAT ONE isn't Mexican because ______.

If I may explain: remember *este, ese, aquel* (= this / that / that there)? And rembember these kinds of words can be either adjectives (preceding a noun) and pronouns (without a noun)?
In this context *ESE* is a pronoun (no noun after it, but it replaces a noun), which in English would translate as "THAT ONE".

Would you say this makes sense?
