sabotaging was commonly used when the slaves were worked to hard. Sometimes they would fake illness or break tools to slow production.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

escaping was more for personal freedom than for resistance so it most likely would not be escaping. Plus many slaves did not make it so it was not very common until the underground railroad picked up
