At their going-out-of-business sale, Bill's Bikes sold 33 bikes and had 59 left. Which equation could be used to find x, the number of bikes the store had originally? x + 59 = -33 x - 33 = -59 x + 33 = 59 x - 59 = 33

why don't you try to tackle this one - I'll help along if you get stuck...

OpenStudy (asnaseer):

think about this: If the store had x bikes to begin with, and they sold 33 of them, then how many bikes would they have left? can you write down an algebraic expression for this?

Thank you! I got the answer

yw - but I don't know how I helped here? ;)
