Inverse function help? Check my answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

You must provide your answer and how you managed it. This is the sort of thing that can be checked.

@tkhunny Initially I had though it was D because it described x/6 as the length of the cube's edges, but had a brainfart and forgot cubes has 12 edges, not 6

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

hmmm what's a one-to-one function anyway?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@jdoe0001 a function where there's one output for every input?

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

hmmm ok.... so. hmm hmm have you covered parabolas yet?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@jdoe0001 If I have I forgot it lol

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

well... so.. what section of the chapter is this exercise covering then? I mean, you're expected to "use something" to solve it.... so, it'd be the covered material so... what's covering then?

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

First, immediately discard A and D. Wrong sign under the radical. Second, discard B. It goes the wrong way. \([-3,\infty)\) is important.
