OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Have you considered the formula for the area of a trapezoid? Find an altitude and you'll be done in a moment.

OpenStudy (pinklion23):

hey you sill need help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah

OpenStudy (pinklion23):

by the way all you need to do is A=0.5*h(b1+b2)

OpenStudy (pinklion23):

so 0.5*8(8+14)=a

OpenStudy (pinklion23):

you get it?

OpenStudy (pinklion23):

@Sworewolf you there?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah i was afk

OpenStudy (pinklion23):

yeah that is what i just said :)

OpenStudy (pinklion23):

okay so do you know your area now

OpenStudy (pinklion23):

swoewolf you know the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

88

OpenStudy (pinklion23):

yeah! you did it :)

OpenStudy (pinklion23):

great job

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ty

OpenStudy (pinklion23):

thx for the medal :)

OpenStudy (pinklion23):

np you have any more questions i could help with?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (pinklion23):

okay tag me in them :)

OpenStudy (firejay5):

@Sworewolf The correct answer is B. 88 in^2, becasue the area formula for a trapezoid is: \[A = \frac{ a + b }{ 2 } * h\] Base = 8 in. & 14 in. and height = 8 in.
