On an electrical circle saw application we've installed an electrical brake which 'injects' power for a certain adjustable time on two phases of the motor until it stops in for example 0.5 seconds. Theoretical now the lock nut from the saw blade can come loose because of its weight, rotation speed, stopping time etc. I like to calculate the moment which is generated by stopping the lock nut to say something about the locking method.
