Well yes and to add on to what learning time said, Arteries are narrow and have much thicker walls this is due to the fact that the blood is traveling at high pressure in the arteries and the main artery for carrying blood away is the Aorta, so if you remember artery starts with a for away and also that they are made for the high pressurized blood since the heart just pumped it you'll be fine. Veins are wider and have thinner wall since the blood is at a lower pressure and they contain valves to avoid the blood for traveling backwards, the main or major Vein is the Vena Cava. now their are exceptions to this particularly the pulmonary vein and pulmonary artery, those are reversed since the pulmonary artery brings oxygen rich blood from the lungs to the heart and the pulmonary vein takes oxygen poor blood away from the heart to the lungs.

@iSpiffy2wice If it was just a question and not related to your work in any way, why is it such an issue that you had to wait one hour for a response? Either way, a simple question like that will always get you a faster response if you search via google or a textbook's index.

Unless some moderator or owner of the site told you it would provide speedy answers, it is hardly anyone's fault on here that the answer was not as speedy as advertised.

Again though, if it was not for homework and the like how could it possibly be "extremely late and after the fact"?
