Well, if you're a landlocked country you're not going to have a fishing industry or a thriving port. On the other hand if you're an island or have a coastline you could have a large fishing industry as well as a large shipping industry.

Yeah id have to agree since being surrounded by bodies of water opens a nation for maritime trade and also India is not that distant from its neighbors
